What is RoRo shipping?

RoRo means roll-on/roll-off. Vehicles are driven onto a specialized vessel at the departure terminal and driven off after arrival. This reduces the lifting and handling required for conventional cargo.

Pure Car and Truck Carriers are designed with internal decks and ramps for wheeled cargo. The vehicle must meet the carrier’s operating, cleanliness, fuel and cargo rules before terminal delivery.

When is RoRo a good choice?

  • Your vehicle is operable and safe to drive.
  • A RoRo route serves your destination.
  • You want a straightforward port-to-port solution.
  • You do not need to load household goods inside the vehicle.
  • The vehicle satisfies destination import requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put personal items inside a vehicle shipped by RoRo?

Most RoRo carriers do not permit personal belongings inside the vehicle. Confirm the exact carrier rule before terminal delivery.

Does the vehicle need to run?

Standard RoRo service generally requires an operable vehicle with working steering and brakes. Non-running cargo requires advance review and may need another transport method.

How long does RoRo shipping take?

Timing depends on the departure port, destination, sailing schedule, transshipment and customs processing. Your quote provides the appropriate route information available at booking.

Can you pick up a car from an auction or dealership?

Yes. Pickup can be coordinated after the vehicle is released and its condition, keys and collection requirements are confirmed.

Do you handle destination customs clearance?

Destination clearance, duties and registration are normally handled by the consignee or a local customs broker unless specifically included in the written quote.
